You Shall Know Our Velocity tells the story of Will and Hand, two best friends who have recently lost their third "Musketeer," Jack, in a tragic automobile accident. Will has just come into an unexpected large sum of money. When Will and Hand's plan to use the money to save Jack's life fails, they decide to give it all away on a week long journey around the world… or as far as they can get in 7 days.

The premise is the perfect mix of an event most can identify with, mixed with a new twist on the old Myth journey. The characters are well-defined with clear and relatable needs that sustain what is essentially two buddies goofing and grieving for 350+ pages.

Hand makes for a formidable and interesting opponent - so much so that he almost overshadows Will.

Will's SELF-REVELATION is very subtle and nicely handled. He does NOT realize his need of getting over Jack's death, but instead realizes it is okay to never get over losing his friend. Will grows past blaming unrelated parties for what was obviously a freak accident, and decides to continue his own journey after Hand returns home.
